Abstract

This study in textual grammar seeks to demonstrate (the means of coherence of the Qur'anic text related to the shadow of meaning) through two sections: one of them is the semantic relations that link between the meaning and its shadow, and the other is the shadow of speech meaning that links the meaning of speech and its external context. This study also seeks to be a serious contributor to the establishment of an Arabic text theory, deriving its vocabulary from the old heritage and modern linguistic visions together. To achieve these objectives, the research followed the applied analytical method.
The most important findings of the study:
- The textual coherence is of a meaningful nature; it occurs through the meaningful relations that achieve three types of cohesion: one of them is the cohesion of  the text parts, and the second is the coherence of the text with its external context, and the third is coherence of the meaning of the text with its shadow.
- The shadow of the text meaning  that links the text meaning to its external context is at the level of the text (the result of the situation), or is the indication of grammatical structures for a meaning other than that is attributed to the origin of its establishment, or is the Indication of the chosen word, or is the indication of deletion
