The current paper investigates the existence of the Arabic woman in classical Arabic syntax. For this purpose, the researcher looked for the Arab poetesses whose poems are quoted in Al-Kitāb by Sībawayh. The study finds that Sībawayh cited 14 quotes by 11 poetesses throughout the chapters of his book. It is worth mentioning that Sībawayh has not overlooked any quote by an Arab poetess that can exemplify a syntactic rule despite the debate of grammarians over the authorship of some quotes.
