Abstract

 
 Modern technology has become  a changeable  part in all fields of life in the Syrian Arab Republic. , especially the web which had the largest role in society and its organization. Cultural sources were the most influential areas of technology through the design of cultural web sites which provide cultural services to citizens. The website became the means that shows the success of any source of Syrian culture, therefore, an analytical study of a selected sample of cultural websites in the Syrian Arab Republic was necessary. The study aimed to show the most important cultural sites in Syria and analyze its structure to identify its compatibility with the proposed criteria for evaluation, namely the Syrian Cultural Portal, Al-Assad National Library, the Ministry of Culture and the Syrian General Book Authority. The researcher depended on a method of content analysis to identify the components, structure and substantive characteristics of these sites. The success of content analysis depends on the precise identification of the categories and components of the studied sites. The study concluded with a set of results showing the compatibility of the studied sample of the Syrian cultural sites with the international standards of the websites. The Syrian culture portal corresponds to the evaluation criteria by 58.275%. The site of the Syrian Book Organization complies with the criteria of evaluation by 60.35275%, which assess the quality of the site to a good degree, and the site of Al- Assad National Library complies with the evaluation criteria by 52.025%.
