A Study on the Effectiveness of Digital Tools in Teaching Chinese Grammar to Non-Native Speakers

Abstract

Abstract:
Against the backdrop of globalization, the cause of international dissemination of the Chinese language has witnessed rapid development, creating an urgent need to enhance the quality and efficiency of grammar teaching in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL). Digital tools, with their advantages of visualization, interactivity, and personalization, offer opportunities for revolutionizing grammar teaching. However, challenges persist, including inadequate alignment between tools and teaching objectives, divergent learning outcomes among learners, a mismatch between teachers' digital teaching capabilities and tool application requirements, and low integration of teaching resources with digital tools. By analyzing the significance of digital tools in TCFL grammar teaching, this paper explores the existing issues in their application and proposes solutions such as optimizing tool function design guided by teaching objectives, strengthening guidance and intervention in tool usage, establishing a system for cultivating teachers' digital teaching capabilities, and promoting the integrated development of grammar teaching resources and digital tools. The aim is to enhance the effectiveness of digital tools in TCFL grammar teaching and drive the digital and intelligent transformation of grammar instruction.
