Abstract

This quasi experimental study explores how neurolinguistic programming (NLP) affects the linguistic development and auditory processing of Egyptian students learning Spanish, with a focus on those with depression. Twelve students at B1-B2 levels were selected and divided into experimental and control groups, identified through the DASS-21 scale. Over six months, the experimental group participated in NLP shadowing sessions, while the control group received no intervention. Auditory and linguistic skills were assessed at the beginning and end of the study. The results showed significant improvement in the experimental group, highlighting the effectiveness of NLP shadowing in students with depression. The article presents the methodology, evaluation criteria, implications of the findings, and study limitations, suggesting that NLP could be a complementary pedagogical strategy in language teaching.
