An analysis of realism in Chinese-Egyptian travel literature: Taking "Stories from the Sahara" and "Around the world in 200 days" as examples
中埃旅行文学中的现实主义分析:以《撒哈拉的故事》和《世界二百天》为例
In fact, travel literature is not a new kind of literature. It has been around for a long time. Since ancient times, writers have tried to describe social reality and natural beauty through their works, as well as their deep thoughts on culture, history, and life. By describing the scenery, writers can integrate their own philosophical thinking and emotional experience, so that readers can appreciate the natural beauty and social conditions, and can also feel the deeper cultural connotations and historical background, and try to attract readers' attention, emotions and happiness through suspense and excitement. Travel literature helps readers travel through time and space to reach another place through novels. This kind of literature promotes mutual learning and mutual understanding of human cultures. This is the importance of travel literature. Although there have been a lot of studies on this kind of literature in the past, there are few modern studies on contemporary writers and writers. The author uses comparative analysis methods to analyze the novel "Around the world in 200 days" by Egyptian writer Enis Mansour and the novel "The Story of the Sahara" by Chinese writer Sanmao Since the research on these two works is relatively scarce, this paper attempts to explore the definition and characteristics of travel literature through this study, analyze the differences between travel literature and science fiction, and discuss famous travel literature writers in Egypt and China and their contributions.
