The current study attempts to uncover the role of artificial intelligence in the economy of location-based digital platforms. It is based on the theory of network society, the theory of cultural implantation, the theory of the diffusion of innovations, the globalization of digital platforms, postmodernism, and the theory of social computing. The study used the descriptive analytical method. As for the general method of the study, it relies on a sample social survey, by drawing a random sample of users and non-users of these platforms in Greater Cairo, which is a geographical scope that includes three governorates (Cairo, Giza, and Qalyubia), and the questionnaire tool was applied to them, then a measure was taken on a deliberate sample of platform users, and finally conducting in-depth interviews on a certain number of location-based platform users.
