The difficulties of learning and acquiring the conditional present in the French linguistic system among Arabic-speaking learners in French classes

Abstract

In this article, we will deal with the difficulties encountered in learning and acquiring the conditional present among Arabic-speaking learners in French as a Foreign Language classes. Thus, we will identify the gaps in the use of this verbal form and we will discuss the reasons for these difficulties which would be linked to language interference between two different languages ​​(the mother tongue and the target language). We will therefore indicate in this research the methodology and mechanism of teaching this temporality. The teaching of the conditional present is part of the teaching of French grammar and this grammatical theme is very important in learning French as a Foreign Language. We will finally propose some educational perspectives.
