Abstract

This research examines the gender dynamics in the literary works of Mohamed Al Rahbi; his texts elaborate the tumultuous relationship between men and women in Oman and Arab culture. He approaches this sensitive topic with caution, discussing the taboo of religion and customs in Oman. Al Rahbi's narratives depict the inhumane treatment of women, which reflects the discrimination of society due to differences of biological identity. Therefore, Omani and Arab novels must highlight these gender-related issues. This research is significant, because it highlights the novel's ability to discuss gender issues, such as characterization, religious rituals, matrimonial relations, and differences between males and females. It also examines body treatment methods and the value system in society and authority. The research draws upon cultural studies, which are related to gender studies.
