Social support for civil society organizations in achieving some sustainable development goals in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030 (field study in Beheira Governorate)

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the degree of knowledge of the respondents about the roles of civil society organizations in achieving the goals of sustainable development (improving the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen, justice, social inclusion and participation, and environmental sustainability) as well as the degree to which they perform these roles, and to determine the significance of the differences between the respondents who benefit from civil society organizations in terms of the degree Their knowledge of these roles, and the degree of their performance. The research is considered one of the analytical descriptive studies that rely on the sample social survey approach, where a sample is chosen that represents the study population, and Beheira Governorate was determined as a geographical area for this study due to the presence of the largest number of civil society organizations in it, and the effectiveness of many of them.
The study sample amounted to 200 respondents, distributed equally among the two study centers. The data was collected using a questionnaire form and then prepared for this purpose in a sustainable manner. Field data was collected during the months of April and May 2023, and the results of the study showed that there is a disparity between the opinion of the respondents regarding the degree of Civil society organizations and their activities.
