Mechanisms of anti-objectification in the poetry of pre-Islamic tramps

Abstract

This study - extracted from a doctoral dissertation - is based on the results reached by Bassam Qattoos in his book entitled “The Fall in Recognition: Poetry in the Grip of Recognition” (Qatous, 2022), which opened up for me and the scholars the prospects for a new term approach, which he applied to a blog. A number of poets of modernity, trying to study the manifestations of objectification in the poetry of a number of poets of Arab modernity.
The individual resorts to a set of defensive tricks when he cannot achieve his desires and satisfy his motives, in order to get rid of the tension and psychological anxiety that may affect him as a result of the conflict between his motives and desires, and between the values and standards imposed by the environment in which he lives, and these defensive tricks he does not resort to with the aim of resolving the crisis. , but with the aim of adapting to it to ensure the integrity and compatibility of personality.
And the researcher, as he follows this methodological line, tries to move towards what Qatus called "the understanding of concepts"; In the sense of defining the concepts of the study, then the application here will be on examples of the poetry of the pre-Islamic tramps.
