The increase and decrease of the letter and its impact on directing the Arabic sentence

Abstract

Summary This research reviews the role of the letter (الحرف) in language in both grammatical and morphological perspective, whenever the letter is added or deleted has an effect on syntax and meaning. The letter has its effect even when it is not demonstrating element in the sentence, because it is an element of the sense which carries several meanings and connotations, based on the opinions of the scholars in Arabic grammar and morphology, its not acceptable to separate grammar from morphology in Arabic language. Hence it is permissible for a letter to be substitute for another. This is due to dialect or similarity of the meaning of two letters or the convergence of meaning of the two letters. Adding or deleting a letter in the context of speech is for a complete moral purpose in the same speaker who wants to communicate it through linguistic tools in accordance with the rules of exhilaration and morphology laid down by scholars. This reappearance is based on the implications of the decrease and increase in the syntax and word construction. This research assists us to see some of the subtle details related to the changes and controls in the morphological structure in various topics.
