General features of translation from Chinese to Arabic

Abstract

With the expansion of cooperation between the countries of the world in various fields and activities, especially cultural, economic, political, educational and sports, as well as the flourishing movement of translation of scientific books in various disciplines, which helps in the exchange of scientific experiences and knowledge of the different and diverse cultures of the peoples of the world, east and west, the science of translation has become a pivotal role as a bridge extending across The different historical eras, linking the countries of the whole world with their different languages, cultures and beliefs in one crucible in which all these differences melt. The deep-rooted Arab-Chinese relations in various fields, which stem from ancient times, are a unique model for successful cooperation between two peoples of different language, culture and belief. Therefore, as translation specialists, we must exert more effort and continue research and development to keep pace with the continuous development of relations between the two peoples. This research paper deals with the definition of translation science, the characteristics of translation science as it is a linguistic discipline of a special technical nature, types of translations and the requirements of each type, the established rules in translation science, and the qualities that must be available in the person in charge of the translation task. This research paper examines in depth the most important linguistic differences between the Arabic and Chinese languages ​​by comparing the two languages ​​in the similarities and differences of some linguistic phenomena, for example, examining the similarities and differences between Chinese and Arabic in linguistics, grammar, and punctuation. This research paper sheds light on translation skills from Chinese to Arabic, as well as the change that occurs in the Arabic text due to the differences between the two languages ​​in many linguistic phenomena, the most important of these skills are, changing the nature and type of the word during translation, increasing or decreasing the Arabic text compared to the original text Due to the different style of expression between the two languages, the active and passive forms of expression varied in both languages, in addition to other skills.
