Psychological immunity and suicidal thoughts among undergraduate students in the Kuwaiti environment: a study in the framework of differences, relationships, and prediction

Abstract

according to gender, as well as revealing the relationship between psychological immunity and their suicidal thoughts, in addition to predicting suicidal thoughts in light of their psychological immunity. (208) students from Kuwait University (112 males) and (96 females). By applying the scale of psychological immunity for university youth prepared / Soliman Abdel Wahed and Huda Al-Fadhli (2021), and the scale of suicidal thoughts prepared by / the researcher, the results resulted in the absence of statistically significant differences between the sexes in the components of psychological immunity and its total degree, as well as in the dimensions and total degree of suicidal thoughts. In addition to the existence of a significant negative correlation between suicidal thoughts and psychological immunity, and finally the results showed the possibility of predicting suicidal thoughts with the knowledge of psychological immunity among members of the study sample of undergraduate students in the Kuwaiti environment.Kuwaiti environment.
