Cultural and Contrastive Approach

The rhetoric view is affected by the intellectual and cultural directions. This influence expands to include the adoption of analytical approaches, and new critical schools in reading texts in order to shed light on revealing their purposes in persuading the addressee through convention and effect.
This paper aims to seek the links between rhetoric and the cultural trend in criticism by the cultural reading of the expressions’ diversity of Plot Verses in article text, and the hidden intentions contained in these expressions that were rooted in the Arabic general consensus. The last section was is devoted to observing the problematic of homonymy translations in the contexts of Plot Verses, and ways of transferring them into English; in an effort to reach a critical vision that combines the rhythm and the metaphorical meanings of homonymy.
