Abstract

This research deals with the definition of two of the Medina libraries, which had an impact on the development of the intellectual and scientific movement in theHijri thirteenth century, namely Aref Hikmat Library, and the Mahmoudiyah Library.
The research is based on Sheikh Al-Joudi's trip to Hajj, which is an important source that represents the last era of traditional trips before the creation of transportation with the introduction of cars and airplanes. The  author has clearly reviewed these two libraries, introducing some of their contents, and mentioning the descriptions of the manuscripts and their achieving numbers.
