The purpose of this study is to approach the temporal dilemma in Hassan Al-Naami's short stories, specifically in his collection "The Time of Tumultuous Love" as a model. This study adopts the semiotic approach in tracking problematic semantics and their moral references, whether they were seen in the semiotic thresholds as in the title and dedication, etc. or according to the tools and procedures used in the French semiotic approach which tends to analyze the semantic type and the meaning structure by observing them in their lexical perception and narrative transformations, and by sensing their deep fixed structure. The temporal dilemma in the thoughtful narrative model was heavy in quantity and deep in quality, which created function results such as the combination of the problematic aspect of temporal semantic and the thresholds, as in the collection's main title, titles of stories, dedication and opening and concluding phrases. Moreover, the nature of temporal dilemma could be seen through tools and procedures of semiotic narrative, starting with temporal lexical features, narrative programs and ending with its deep structure. Furthermore, the temporal dilemma has emerged generally in this deep structure when it was related with the whole existence of mankind.
