Realism in the Urdu Short Novel “Aglae Janam Moh Betia Na Kejo” (Oh God, Don’t Make Me a Female Again) by Qurat-ul-Ain Haider as a Model (An Analytical Study)
The realistic approach emerged to represent human life and describe its feelings and the events and changes it faces, and the extent of man’s attachment to his social, political and cultural environment and the impact of this on his psychological and behavioral conditions. Realism also branched into many branches; There is critical, social, Islamic, magical, political, and other realisms, and they have several types, including comprehensive realism, biased, objective, impressionistic, and so on. This research is in the process of descriptive analysis of one of the realistic short Urdu novels, called (Nawālt) “Agalli Janm Muhai Battiya na Kijiu” by the writer “Qurat al-Ain Haider” who wrote and translated various types of knowledge, as this novel is considered a creative field in which Indian reality is immersed in its positives and negatives, and reveals the human suffering of women as a result of the diversity of economic, cultural and social backwardness and the exploitation of the body and soul of women in the inherited society. The research employs The principles of social realism apply to narrative events to express societal issues and problems faced by women in Indian society, and the impact of this on their behavior and psychological and economic conditions.
