Chronic fatigue syndrome in the elderly

Abstract

The current research aims to reveal the differences between males and females on the scale of chronic fatigue symptoms in the elderly, and the researcher used the descriptive approach due to its suitability to the nature of the research. The research community consisted of all the elderly in Kuwait in the age group between (60-62) years, and the research sample consisted of (60) elderly, (30) females, and (30) males. To achieve these goals, the researcher used the following tools: The chronic fatigue scale, prepared by Ahmed Abdel-Khalek (2006). After using the appropriate statistical methods: test (T), the results indicated that there are statistically significant differences between males and females on the chronic fatigue scale in the direction of females. , and methods of treating chronic fatigue syndrome in the elderly, and preparing counseling and preventive programs from symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome in the elderly, and increasing interest in studying chronic fatigue syndrome from the point of view of behavioral scientists, and by trying to come up with a battery of psychological tests through which symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome can be identified .
